What does ppi and dpi stand for and what is the difference?

DPI stands for dots per inch as in the number of dots per inch on a ink printer. PPI stands for pixels per inch as in the number of pixels per inch on your screen.

When printing on a media you will have the dpi but often times people will refer to the dpi on a screen image. Technically this is incorrect; when dealing with the dots on your screen the correct term is ppi.

Bottomline is that people have been using dpi for so long and incorrectly for so long that most will know what you are talking about. If you feel like being a smartly pants you can correct someone and refer to it as ppi and then proceed to explain.

Give Back to your Community

Just to show that there are still a few corporations out there that are doing there part in the community and being socially responsible; I wanted to let you know that Exhibe Portable, a division of Exhibe Corporation is donating 1% of all portable sales to the Make A Wish Foundation. So if you are in search of any portable trade show displays such as retractable banner stands, literature racks or pop-up displays; do not hesitate to request a quote from Exhibe Portable.

In addition their Portable Sales Manager, Nicola D'angelo, will be donating $ 100.00 of his own money to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Exhibe Corporation will also be donating several food items to the local Longs Drug Food Store.

These are trying times and digging deep to help those less fortunate is key in our survival as a community. I know and hope that many others will read this post and will give back to their community in any way possible as well.

Happy Holidays!

Go-Karting in San diego

Looking for something to do Tuesday night?

Why not try go karting! It is more fun than you think. My buddies and I have made it a monthly event. We go on 2 for Tuesdays at Miramar Speed Circuit.

You get two races for the price of one! from 2pm to 11pm. Races are combined to form one 20-minute race. Price of one race for non-members is $ 23.00 with your own helmet or head sock. You can buy a head sock for an additional $ 2.00.

Tuesdays are usually busy so plan to wait at least 25 minutes for your race. Best part about it is after you are done racing you can go hit up taco Tuesdays in Pacific beach :)
